Dr. Naci Dai

A technologist, serial entrepreneur and educator, Dr. Dai has spent his career architecting foundational platforms that drive industry-wide innovation. His perspective on modeling and managing complex systems is rooted in his academic background — a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Boğaziçi University, an M.A.Sc. from Dalhousie University and a Ph.D. from Carleton University.
In 2002 he founded Eteration and pioneered a model for leveraging open source as a strategic business tool. His project Lomboz became a globally adopted Java development tool and led to his role as co-founder and leader of the highly influential Eclipse Web Tools Platform (WTP) — establishing his reputation as a key architect of open ecosystems, capable of uniting industry giants around common challenges.
Today he applies that same vision to the automotive industry's transformation. As a founding member and project lead within the Eclipse Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) working group, he guides core projects like Eclipse Muto and the SDV Blueprints. His ventures — Composiv for autonomous systems, Semosis for fintech — commercialize this vision, applying advanced software architecture to complex problems in mobility and finance.
